Course Information, Terms & Conditions

Presenters and Materials: Our courses are designed and facilitated by specialists and often our courses are presented and facilitated by the original course designer. A selection of our courses are led by two facilitators to maximize learning outcomes, create diverse problem solving processes and assist retention. All courses are reviewed by a Psychological Educational Consultant (PEC) for learning application, accuracy, suitability and outcome maximization. They are also produced by an Instructional Design specialist for usability. Karen Dempster & Associates Creating Change and the Focus on Effective Management suite (hereafter referred to as “the provider”) will attempt to identify for our clients the facilitator who will be present for their chosen program, however we reserve the right to substitute presenters if necessary and utilize materials as required.

We wish to note that we endeavour to provide our participant materials in an environmentally friendly format, using resources that impact minimally upon our planet. Thus, dependent on the course type, materials and creative layout may differ from those provided by many training organizations. We believe however that our format permits those who attend our courses more than once to also build a user-friendly, reusable library of references for future use, and is in line with innovative trends in the training industry.

Availability: Many courses are available nationally, regionally and may be provided internationally by arrangement. Consultancy services and Guest Speakers are also available in selected areas.

Fees: All fees are quoted excluding GST.

Deposits & Payment: A 50%, non-refundable Deposit is required to secure your booking. Full payment is required 21 days in advance of the course date selected to confirm attendance.

Refunds/Transfers/Alterations: Refunds after payment are not normally available. Transfers of bookings between participants (i.e. replacement delegates) and/or course types may be arranged where sufficient notice is provided, without additional fees, where possible. Any transfers arranged are to be taken within a twelve month period of the initial payment. Our aim is always to assist you and meet your needs, including unexpected logistical changes, however changes and deferments may only be arranged at the discretion of the provider. In the case of courses cancelled by the provider, we reserve the right to transfer the booking to another course of the same type within 12 months of the original course, or provide a credit note for the equivalent amount paid for the enrolled participant (or a replacement participant) to apply to another course type, to be taken within 12 months of the original booking. Dates shown are subject to confirmation by the provider and courses are run subject to sufficient course participant numbers, confirmed by full payments. The provider also reserves the right to change the venue, date or facilitator of workshops at any time. In the event that the venue or date is changed, the provider will not be responsible for refund of airfares, hotels or any associated cost incurred by the participant or organisation.

Cancellation Process:
Please note that all cancellations and transfers must be confirmed in writing to karen@creatingchange.com.au and headed “Cancellation/Transfer” in the subject line (our preferred method); or alternatively sent to PO Box 7308 Upper Ferntree Gully, Victoria 3156. Cancellations made by telephone are encouraged for speed of processing, but need to be confirmed in writing as above in order to verify authenticity.
